Vinita Nair

In July 2004, she joined the station and was able to cover a range of stories, such as the investigation into the murder of Jon Benet Ramsey and the shootings that occurred in Bailey, Colorado. Nair began working for ABC News as an anchor/correspondent for ABC News Now in December 2007. The anchor was responsible for anchoring live news coverage and also briefings for ABC's digital channels. Nair also served as a co-anchor of World News Now, America This Morning, and ABC's digital networks beginning on September 17th of 2008 until February 18th, the 18th of February. For both of the shows, Nair was partnered initially with Jeremy Hubbard. Later she worked alongside Rob Nelson. On February 17, 2011, Nair made it clear that Friday February 18, would be her final night of air at World News Now. Also, it would be her final day on ABC News. Peggy Bunker from KDVR Denver was immediately her successor. The issue of February 18 on World News Now paid tribute to Nair in all three segments, including appearances by former and current colleagues, including Jeremy Hubbard. In her final morning, Nair treated her crew to a delicious breakfast. Vinita Vinita Vinita Vinita
